We cut a pizza in 8 eighths.

Korean Elastics Game

Room 14 were very privileged to be shown a Korean elastics game by our Korean International Students.

Afterwards the Korean students had some fun trying to teach Room 14 their elastics game!

Check out these youtube clips:

You can buy these elastics at the Warehouse or at most toy departments. It's a great game to teach your child at home as it helps develop their balance, co-ordination, left-right brain crossover and memory.

Ambury Farm Trip Recounts

We have been working very hard on writing our own recount of the Ambury Farm Trip.

We are learning to (WALT):

WALT: Write interesting sentences.
I need to remember to:
Use a capital letter to start a sentence.
Use my word card to help me spell fast words.
Write down the sounds I can hear in words in the right order.
Put a full stop at the end of a sentence.
Use joining words e.g. and, so, because.
Use topic words.
Use describing words.
Use different sentence starters.

Our new children in Room 14 are learning to:

WALT:  Write simple sentences.
I need to remember to:
Use a capital letter to start a sentence.
Use my word card to help me spell fast words.
Write down the first and last sounds I can hear in words.
Put a full stop at the end of a sentence.

Find your recount and read it to your family.

Then look at our great photos of our Ambury Farm Trip!

Ambury Farm Trip

On Tuesday Room 14 went to Ambury Farm to have fun and see what a farmer has to do every day.

First we went to the sheep shed and the sheep went down a special chute.

Next we fed the cow and I had to drop the food before it ate my hand!

Finally we got to feed the chickens and one of the chickens almost pecked Roman’s finger off.

I loved going to Ambury Farm because we got to feed all of the animals.

The Cow Trip

On Tuesday Room 14 and Room 13 went to Ambury Farm to learn how to help to after animals.

First I watched the lovely sheep go down the chute because when the sheep get shaved they have to go down the chute.

Next I patted the horses because I love horses and I am not scared of them!

Finally I got to see the cows. One of the cows had a humungous udder and the other went for went for a poo!

My opinion of Ambury Farm was it was awesome because I got to see all the animals.

Ambury Farm Trip

On Tuesday Room 14 went to Ambury Farm Park to see all the baby animals and to have great fun.

First we went to the shearing shed. In the shearing shed I learnt that the dirtiest part of a sheep is the bottom because sheep poo gets stuck in the sheep’s wool.

Next we went to the milking shed. I learnt that to get milk from cows they have to have a baby first just like us.

Finally we got to feed the chickens. Their beaks felt really tickly when they ate the food off my hand.

I had great fun at Ambury Farm Park because we got to feed the lambs and make them feel better.
